Meghan and Harry boost

VIS­I­TOR num­bers dou­bled at Epic, the Ir­ish Em­i­gra­tion Mu­seum, in Dublin’s Dock­lands af­ter a high-pro­file visit from Meghan Markle and Bri­tain’s Prince Harry in July. The venue is on track to wel­come its 250,000th vis­i­tor since open­ing in May 2016. The royal newly-weds vis­ited the mu­seum in July and the next day it had its busiest so far with 1,262 vis­i­tors. Num­bers were up by 106pc in Au­gust. The €15m in­ter­ac­tive vis­i­tor ex­pe­ri­ence tells the story of the Ir­ish di­as­pora, and was de­vel­oped by the team be­hind Ti­tanic Belfast un­der the di­rec­tion of Epic Chair­man Neville Is­dell, pic­tured above with the cou­ple.
