Profits more than double at Usit Ireland
A SHARP reduction in staff costs at Usit Ireland last year contributed to pre-tax profits at the travel company more than doubling to €849,158.
Accounts filed by Usit Ireland Ltd show that the business enjoyed the sharp increase in profits as gross revenues decreased by 8pc, going from €19.2m to €17.7m in the 12 months to the end of October 2017. The firm last year paid a dividend of €1m to its parent firm while the numbers employed decreased from 98 to 69 with staff costs reducing from €3.38m to €2.8m.
The number engaged in sales and operations remained the same at 61 with numbers employed in administration reducing from 37 to eight.
