Potential money spinner a bargain at ¤300k guide
“A FEW years ago, this would've made a million.” That was Jimmy Murtagh's view of a 28.5ac non-residential farm near Coralstown, Co Westmeath.
The farm, which is in the townland of Heathlands, has a guide price of €330,000.
Located between the N4 and the M6 on the Mullingar side of Kinnegad, the lands are described as top quality ground with no waste. The farm is in one field with excellent exterior fencing and a supply of mains water.
“Up to recently it was all in tillage but it was fully reseeded last autumn so it is now under new grass,” said Mullingar auctioneer Mr Murtagh. “It has about 400m of road frontage and is almost part of the village of Coralstown where you have everything a rural village has to offer.”
With the requisite planning, the property would be ideal as a residential farm or in the context of village development.
There are no buildings or entitlements with it but it is still a valuable piece of property, according to Mr Murtagh.
With a guide price of €11,500/ac, the farm will be sold by public auction at the Greville Arms Hotel, Mullingar, at 3pm on Friday, May 6.
