WMP board comfortably survive confidence votes
THE board of Wexford Milk Producers (WMP) comfortably survived two confidence votes at a special general meeting which was run in conjunction with the co-op's AGM in Wexford last Thursday evening.
The vote of confidence was passed by a majority of 57pc f or and 43pc against, reflec ting the result of the December SGM vote on the sale by WMP of its controlling stake in Wexford Creamery Glanbia Ingredients Ireland Ltd.
A vote of no confidence was also defeated.
Three WMP directors – Patrick Breen, Enniscorthy area, Harry Doran, New Ross area, and Mr Michael Vaughan from the Wexford area – stood for re-election and were returned unopposed to the co-op board.
