WMP board com­fort­ably sur­vive con­fi­dence votes

THE board of Wex­ford Milk Pro­duc­ers (WMP) com­fort­ably sur­vived two con­fi­dence votes at a spe­cial gen­eral meet­ing which was run in con­junc­tion with the co-op's AGM in Wex­ford last Thurs­day evening.

The vote of con­fi­dence was passed by a ma­jor­ity of 57pc f or and 43pc against, re­flec ting the re­sult of the De­cem­ber SGM vote on the sale by WMP of its con­trol­ling stake in Wex­ford Cream­ery Glan­bia In­gre­di­ents Ire­land Ltd.

A vote of no con­fi­dence was also de­feated.

Three WMP di­rec­tors – Patrick Breen, En­nis­cor­thy area, Harry Do­ran, New Ross area, and Mr Michael Vaughan from the Wex­ford area – stood for re-elec­tion and were re­turned un­op­posed to the co-op board.
