BURWAZZ — a Group-performing son of Exceed And Excel — will transfer to Longford House Stud in Co Tipperary for the 2017 season. The eight-year-old joins Brian Boru, Vinnie Roe and Sagramor at Longford House Stud, whose June Lewis said: “Burwaaz has settled in great. He’s an outstanding looking horse with a brilliant temperament.”

After winning his maiden at two, he finished second to Requinto in the Group 3, Molecomb Stakes, before running third in the Group 2, Irish Thoroughbred Marketing Gimcrack Stakes and went on to be beaten just a short head in the Group 2, Flying Childers Stakes.

A Shadwell Stud home-bred, he is out of the Listed-winning mare Nidhaal and comes from the family of champion three-year-old Assert, champion stayer Eurobird and dual Group 1 winner Bikala.
