2,000 set for mega jam in the park

TWO thousand Ukulele players will take part in a mega jam session at the People’s Park in Dun Laoghaire, Co Dublin, on Sunday, August 26.

Up to 20,000 people are expected to attend.

The Ukulele Hooley, which starts on Saturday, August 25, is the longest running ukulele festival in Europe. It attracts players and fans from all over the world to the harbour town of Dun Laoghaire each summer.

International online hotel booking website Trivago has named the Hooley as one of the “five great British and Irish events to attend in August”.
