LIMOUSIN LORDS AND LADIES OF THE RING

-

THE Red Barn at the Ploughing will be home to a superb display of both pedigree and commercial cattle portraying the Limousin breed in Ireland today.

Visitors can also familiarise themselves with Limousin merchandise and enjoy some hospitality. The pedigree cattle on show will include national show first prize winners: ÷ Ardnacrusha Lord of the Rings; ÷ Knockcoolkeare Ms Nadia B;

÷ Elite Kelda Et and her May-born bull calf Greeve Noble;

÷ Whitehall Iris (Senior Champion Female and Reserve Overall Limousin Female Champion), along with her first-prize winning son Ardlea Nemo;

÷ Cappahugh Louise (Reserve Senior Champion Female).

The commercial cattle on display will include cows and their progeny and an exhibit of dairy X LM breeding heifers.

Limousin cattle continue to excel at the marketplace, and with their ability to cross on all types of cows we are delighted that Limousin bulls are now the beef breed of choice for a growing number of dairy farmers.

The National Ploughing Championship is an excellent opportunity for livestock breeders to meet society staff along with council members who will be on hand at all times to answer all queries and to explain why they believe Limousin is the breed for all markets.

A representative from Ashbourne Meats will be present to promote the Limousin Bonus Scheme, which they operate.
