Your guide to the wearable looks from the autumn/winter shows
The seasonal runway shows can sometimes unearth some pretty boundary pushing — and, let’s be honest, sometimes downright whacky-looking — hair and make-up styles. As creative and innovative as these beauty looks may be on the models on the ramp, you have to wonder how they translate to the street in reality? Flicking through the images of the runways of this year’s autumn/winter shows, however, I was surprised to see a large amount of pared back, minimal, clean, and very wearable make-up looks.
So, this week I’ve highlighted the beauty looks that are easily achievable and flattering for all ages — as well as the products needed to achieve them.
My favourites were the looks at Roland Mouret, Ellie Saab and Chloe. The hair at Isabel Marant was so gorgeous — easy, natural and short. Overall, there seems to be a move away from heavily-styled hair, laden down with product, and a move towards a fresher, more natural finish.
