Bryan Ferry’s art-rock band en­joyed a pro­lific run in the early 1970s and this fourth al­bum saw them mov­ing closer to the com­mer­cial sound that would char­ac­terise their later work. And what great songs are here, from the ‘Thrill of It All’ to ‘All I Want Is You’ and on to the prickly ‘Casanova’. Closer ‘Prairie Rose’ was in­spired by Jerry Hall and she would adorn the cover of their next al­bum.
