The sec­ond al­bum from the Bloc Party front­man tack­les some weighty per­sonal is­sues — par­ent­hood as a gay man and re­con­nect­ing with his Nige­rian fa­ther. The thrilling post-punk is ab­sent as he of­fers a mixed bag in­clud­ing the cheesy ‘Sa­van­nah’ and the odd, rag­time-in­spired ‘Capers’. Much bet­ter is the play­ful ‘Grounds for Re­sent­ment.
