WILLIAM EGGLESTON

Musik (Secretly Canadian)

Irish Independent - Weekend Review - - FRONT PAGE -

Anybody with an interest in photography will be familiar with William Eggleston, the American who popularised the idea of colour photography as an art-form from the 1970s. He’s also dabbled in music over the years and this collection of instrumentals is as unsettling and eerie as his most celebrated images. Recorded in their entirety on an old Korg synthesiser, these strange, beguiling pieces — influenced by JS Bach — leave quite an impression.
