Brexit views are being stifled

Irish Independent - - Letters & Editorial Comment -

■ The Brexit debate has taken on some worrying characteristics.

I think Brexit is a mistake and is going to do major damage to Ireland.

In addition to writing to the papers I get involved in internet discussions expressing these opinions.

On Irish internet sites expressing opinions that are critical of Brexit or questioning the validity of the ‘soft’ Border will get you banned.

In internet discussions in some of the pro-Brexit London newspaper sites, the procedure is much more drastic.

Posts that are favourable to the EU or reflect an Irish outlook are just deleted in front of your eyes.

Freedom of expression, how are you.
