Stella line-up of classics?

Irish Independent - - Letters & Editorial Comment -

■ It’s wonderful to see from your article ‘Bringing “The Stella” back to its former glory’ (Irish Independent Review, October 28), that this wonderful iconic cinema in Rathmines is reopening its doors this week in all its old-style glory.

What about a season of wonderful classic movies? After all, it first opened its doors way back in 1923.

I, for one, would travel to see a few of these wonderful classics in this wonderful, iconic cinema. A few to start with: ‘Casablanca’, ‘Some Like It Hot’, ‘12 Angry Men’, ‘Singin’ In The Rain’ and a Hitchcock to finish, ‘Dial M For Murder’. Oh yes! The golden ages of cinema!
