BROADMEADO­W Vale, a new developmen­t within walking distance of the Co Meath commuter town of Ratoath, will especially appeal to families priced out of Dublin.

It is located beside St Paul’s National School and some of its house types have attics designed for a future conversion. When it’s finished, the Sherwood Homes scheme will consist of 126 two, three, four and five-bed homes available as terraced, semi-detached and detached styles. The first phase, consisting of about 33 houses, is going on sale this weekend, with prices ranging from €300,000 for a mid-terraced three-bed to €510,000 for a three-storey, five-bed detached home.

Almost all the homes will overlook an open green space. The facades of the traditiona­l-style houses are finished in a combinatio­n of red and yellow brick and monocouche coloured render, with high-performanc­e double-glazed PVC windows from O’Grady’s Joinery.

Internally, each house type has a custom-designed fitted kitchen with quartz countertop­s, all supplied by Gallagher Kitchens, while all the four-bed semi-detached styles have separate utility rooms.

Broadmeado­w Vale is a ten-minute drive in light traffic from the Dunboyne/M3 Parkway train station, from where there are rail services to Dublin Docklands and Connolly Station.

Viewings of the two new showhouses at Broadmeado­w Vale will take place tomorrow and Sunday from 12pm to 2pm.
