McLoughlin wins Ulster U-14 Open

SLIGO’s Sean McLoughlin (left) fired a superb level par 68 to win the weather-delayed Ulster U-14 Open Championship at Ardglass in Co Down.

The Rosses Point talent finished one stroke ahead of Faithlegg’s Alex King, with Power- scourt’s Aiden O’Carroll third on two-over.

Despite a two-hour suspension for heavy rain, McLoughlin maintained his focus to claim the title. He followed a late bogey at the short 17th with a closing par to win the trophy.
