Yes vote an example of inhumanity

Irish Independent - - Letters & Editorial Comment -

■ I cannot believe it. Two-thirds of the country’s voters opting for the right to be able to legally terminate the life of a perfectly healthy infant, up to 12 weeks old, just because they want to.

To me, the unborn infant is the central figure in this situation but has no say in the matter.

If it had, how would it vote? No need to answer that question.

The celebrations of the Yes voters was sickening for me to behold. Celebrating a descent into barbarism.

The slaughter of the innocents springs to mind.

The referendum was all about humanity and religion was only a diversion. The Church could and should have played a much stronger part in that context.

The Yes vote was another case of man’s inhumanity to man.
