There’s more to come – Sagan

-

THREE-TIME world champion Peter Sagan warned his sprint rivals there was more to come after he powered to victory on stage 4 of the Tour de France.

The Bora-Hansgrohe rider was too strong for Sonny Colbrelli (BahrainMerida) and Philippe Gilbert (Quick-Step) in a sprint which came at the top of a short, punishing climb into Quimper. It was Sagan’s second stage win of this Tour following stage two into La Roche-surYon on Sunday, and the 10th of his career.

“I’m hoping still to improve,” the Slovakian said. “The Tour is very long and we are only on the fifth stage.”

Daniel Martin finished in sixth and will be hoping to make an impression at today’s uphill finish at the Mur de Bretagne, where he finished second in 2015. He is 24th overall, 1min 40secs behind leader Greg van Avermaet.
