Connacht clubs seek wins as league battle heats up

-

BUCCANEERS go in search of their second win of the All Ireland League Division 1B season when they clash with Malone at Dubarry Park.

The Athlone outfit failed to salvage a losing bonus point after an enthralling 42-31 defeat away to Ballynahinch.

But two efforts from Darragh Corbett coupled with tries from Colm Reilly and Kieran Joyce secured a four-try bonus point.

Buccaneers are ninth while Galwegians are bottom of Division 2A.

Galwegians are away to Dolphin tomorrow, still without a victory in the current campaign.

Losing in Irish Independent Park would open up a big gap at the bottom.

Sligo can stay in the promotion race in Division 2B if they beat Greystones at Dr Hickey Park. Corinthians are at home to Dungannon.

In Division 2C Ballina are at home to Thomond in Heffernan Park. The hosts need a victory to stay in touch with leaders Midleton.
