Clean lines & clever design from AQ/AQ

-

WANT a killer look that’s utterly unforgettable? Make a super style statement this season in an outfit they’ll be talking about for years to come. One of our favourite fashion-forward yet affordable labels is London-based AQ/AQ, founded by Julie Lingard in 2002. Lingard had a discerning eye for not only what she liked, but for what other women liked too. Clean lines, clever design and modern elegance with edge. Some 15 years later and the successful brand is selling to fashion conscious women all over the world. For SS17, AQ/AQ looks to architecture for serious statement dressing. We love the Didion structured knee-length dress (€143.50) available in deep marine and cream. The Quinto peplum mini dress (€138) is also perfect summer party attire. Dramatic drapes and pretty pleats also feature heavily. The label says: “Movement unites every piece in our edit. Be it a frilled, gathered side on a close fitting mini dress, a ruffled asymmetric peplum or a plisse soft pink maxi dress, every piece has near rhythmic flow.”

Turn heads in the Olivia maxi dress (€437), a sleeveless, floor-length gown with deep plunge front, crafted in a unique pleated fabric.

And check out the elegant Stasia halterneck maxi dress (€172.50) which features a high neck and luxe sateen soft peplum to the front.

Elsewhere, jumpsuits are given a makeover with voluminous trousers for a new kind of femininity which, according to the label, “is all about blurring the lines between genders”. The flattering Larissa long-sleeved jumpsuit (€161) features a deep plunge front and fitted waist.

The little black dress has been updated with daring cut-outs and there’s a redcarpet ready one-sleeve maxi dress (€224) when you want to make an entrance. Check out aqaq.com for more details.
