Paul signs up to a pirate’s life on movie

- BY JAMES WARD

Paul Mccartney SIR Paul Mccartney was drafted into the new Pirates of the Caribbean movie after Keith Richards was forced to drop out.

The Rolling Stones star plays Jack Sparrow’s father Captain Teague.

But instead Mccartney, 74, was introduced as his Uncle Jack.

Directors Joachim Ronning and Espen Sandberg told Entertainment Weekly: “We had even written a scene for Keith.

“And then because of some scheduling issues, he couldn’t come to Australia to shoot.

“We should honour the tradition of showing a Jack Sparrow family member.

“And we made a very short list, and of course, at the very top of that list was Sir Paul Mccartney.”
