the job. It would be a bit ridiculous for my future to depend on one game.
“There’s no perfect way to go. I just want to do well for this club. After that, it’s down to the board members.
“Am I the right man to take this club further?’ That’s for me to decide as well. It’s not about popularity. It’s about competence.”
Wenger, who confirmed Mirror Sport’s story that his future will be decided this week, added: “This is one of the proudest moments of my career because no one gave me a chance.
“I’m proud to have won seven of these cups. I’m proud having done this – winning the championship without losing and winning seven FA Cups.
“We were outstanding from the first minute. This team has suffered. They’ve united and responded.
“I said last week this team will be in the championship with one or two good buys. They showed strength and unity and played spectacular football today.”
And on his future, Wenger said: “We have a board meeting on Tuesday. And on Wednesday or Thursday it will be clearer.”

Match-winner Ramsey said: “I’m really happy for the manager. He deserved this. Hopefully, he’ll be here next season. We all owe him a lot.”
Chelsea manager Antonio Conte said: “The goal after three minutes should gave been disallowed for a clear handball. But then, our start wasn’t good enough. Arsenal started better than us.”
