Your op

-

I’d had heavy and painful periods since I was 12. I was anaemic, would pass out and once had morphine injections in hospital.

It got worse, and lasted longer, as I got older. Eventually, I had an ablation procedure under general anaesthetic at Spire Parkway Hospital in Solihull.

It involved having the womb lining burned away using radio frequency energy.

I also had a hormonal contraceptive coil fitted to make my periods lighter.

I’m now able to enjoy life and exercise without pain.
