Laura jail­ers ‘treat­ing her much bet­ter’

Con­vict Laura BRIT Laura Plum­mer, who is be­ing held in an Egyp­tian prison for smug­gling painkillers, is be­ing treated much bet­ter now, ac­cord­ing to her sis­ter.

Jayne Sin­clair, 40 – who vis­ited Laura, 33, two days ago – said she looked much health­ier.

Laura’s fam­ily had thought she would be freed two weeks ago af­ter a pres­i­den­tial par­don, but there was a last-minute hitch with pa­per­work.

Jayne said: “I saw Laura for about an hour. She looked a lot bet­ter this time than when we last saw her. She has her own bed and ev­ery­one is be­ing re­ally nice to her.”

Laura, from Hull, was sen­tenced to three years in De­cem­ber for car­ry­ing 290 Tra­madol tablets into Egypt for her boyfriend. Foren­sic team van
