MY PERFECT SUNDAY
I would be home in Laurel Canyon in California and would be rudely awoken by my American bulldog Daisy licking my leg.
She’s a rescue dog and a bit weird. She’s basically a vampire – sleeps all day and is awake all night.
My wife is a great cook so she’d make us breakfast while I see to Daisy and administer her Prozac.
Next we’d go for a walk around the neighbourhood. Back in the Sixties it was home to The Doors and Joni Mitchell. When The Beatles’ Magical Mystery Tour came out, everyone would open their doors and play it at the same time. I like to think about what it might have been like 50 years ago, with all the drugs and excess.
I’d do a hot yoga class then go home for a glass of wine, food and a film.
We’d match a Marvel movie while cooking then a nerdy documentary about cult leaders while we eat.
My wife loves spicy food – she uses so many chillis, we both sweat as we eat.
What with that and the yoga, I’m very dehydrated by the end of my Sunday.
