Superteen Kik’s got clubs on high alert

MANCHESTER UNITED, Manchester City and Chelsea are all looking at 17-year-old Heerenveen sensation Kik Pierie.

The American-born Holland youth international, who plays in central defence, made his debut in the Eredivisie play-offs at the end of last season.

Pierie (above) has since flourished as a regular starter, making 24 appearances in the Dutch top flight this season. BRIGHTON are keen for FA technical director Dan Ashworth to become their director of football. The Seagulls want the 47-year-old (below) to help them push on after the job he did in helping establish West Brom as a Premier League team before taking up his England role. Ashworth, who left The Hawthorns in 2012, has hinted he will move on after this summer’s World Cup.
