Garda appeal as man dies in road crash

A 21-YEAR-OLD man was killed in a car crash in the early hours yesterday.

The incident happened on a road in Gibbstown, near Navan, Co Meath around 4am.

The individual was believed to be sitting in the passenger seat at the time of the accident.

The driver of the vehicle, believed to be 23, also sustained various injuries during the incident.

He was taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda following the crash.

The road remained sealed off for forensic examiners yesterday.

Gardai are appealing for informatio­n.
