Woman was punched and kicked on Welling­ton Quay

GARDAI in Drogheda are in­ves­ti­gat­ing af­ter a 44-year-old woman was as­saulted by an­other fe­male on Welling­ton Quay last Satur­day.

The in­ci­dent hap­pened at 1.30pm when the woman was at­tacked from be­hind as she walked along the street.

The in­jured party re­ceived a num­ber of punches to the face and kicks to the body.

She re­ceived med­i­cal at­ten­tion for her in­juries be­fore re­port­ing the in­ci­dent. Gar­daí have asked any­one who may have wit­nessed the at­tack to con­tact them at Drogheda Garda Sta­tion. Mean­while, a small quan­tity of jew­ellery was taken dur­ing a bur­glary at a house in Ter­mon Abbey on Thurs­day last, Septem­ber 7 th.

A small quan­tity of jew­ellery and watches, in­clud­ing a Sk­a­gen watch, were taken from the home.

The break-in hap­pened soem­time be­tween 1.15pm and 2.25pm with the cuprits gain­ing en­try through the front door. A num­ber of tools were stolen af­ter three vans were bro­ken into last Thurs­day morn­ing.

In Lis­cor­rie, two ve­hi­cles were bro­ken into be­tween 7.30am and 10am.

Items taken in­cluded a Stihl Con­saw, A yel­low Top­con laser level and a fob for a gate.

A third van parked at the Lour­des Hos­pi­tal was also bro­ken into be­tween 8.45am and 11am and a Hilti drill was stolen from the ve­hi­cle.
