Num­ber of bur­glar­ies in Drogheda over past week

Gar­daí are in­ves­ti­gat­ing a num­ber of bur­glar­ies in the Drogheda area over the past week.

The first took place some­time in the af­ter­noon of Mon­day, Oc­to­ber 2nd in the Beech­wood Drive es­tate. A rear win­dow of the prop­erty was smashed and an ipad was taken.

A shed in Rath­mul­lan Park was bro­ken into overnight be­tween Oc­to­ber 2nd and 3rd. A lawn­mower was taken from the prop­erty. A house in the Beaubec es­tate on the Dublin Road was bro­ken into on Thurs­day, Oc­to­ber 5th at around 7.45pm.

En­try to the house was gained through the sun­room and a small quan­tity of cash was taken. A house in Carmel­lite Cot­tages on the Marsh Road was also bro­ken into on the 5th, some­time be­tween 1.30pm and 11pm af­ter a rear door of the prop­erty was forced open. A quan­tity of cash and jewellery was taken.

Three prop­er­ties in Pre­ston Mills, Welling­ton Quay were bro­ken into on Oc­to­ber 6th but one per­son was sub­se­quently ar­rested in re­la­tion to the in­ci­dents and some prop­erty was re­cov­ered.
