Se­ries of en­ergy sav­ing meet­ings tak­ing place in mid Louth re­gion

IN 2016 and 2017, 150 home­own­ers in Mid Louth ben­e­fited from the Louth Bet­ter En­ergy pro­gramme and the or­gan­is­ers, the Dun­leer Devel­op­ment Board, are now pre­par­ing for a fund­ing ap­pli­ca­tion for 2018.

The fund­ing is pro­vided by the Sus­tain­able En­ergy Au­thor­ity of Ire­land and the pro­gramme in Louth is man­aged by the Dun­leer Com­mu­nity Devel­op­ment Board.

Over €1m has been se­cured in fund­ing for the projects up to this point as well as sig­nif­i­cant sav­ings for home­own­ers and oth­ers.

A se­ries of public in­for­ma­tion meet­ings are to be held across the County of Louth to in­form peo­ple of how com­mu­ni­ties can work to­gether to avail of sig­nif­i­cant grants to up­grade homes, com­mu­nity cen­tres and busi­ness premises to make them more ef­fi­cient in en­ergy use, warmer, re­duce en­ergy costs and avail of the op­tion of us­ing more re­new­able en­ergy so­lu­tions.
