Furze role for McConville

FORMER All-Ire­land win­ner and two-time All-Star Oisin McConville will be part of the Se­neschal­stown back­room team in 2018 fol­low­ing his rat­i­fi­ca­tion at a club meet­ing last week.

The six-time All-Ire­land Club win­ner with Cross­ma­glen scored the cru­cial se­cond-half goal in Ar­magh’s 2002 All-Ire­land fi­nal suc­cess over Kerry.

McConville, who has been in­volved in coach­ing with DkIT teams in re­cent years, will work along­side man­ager Damien Sheri­dan who was reap­pointed af­ter com­ing on board fol­low­ing the de­par­ture of David Hosie in mid-sea­son.

Sheri­dan was pre­vi­ously at the helm when the Yel­low Furze men were se­nior cham­pi­ons in 2007 and 2009.

Leo Sheri­dan, Conor Mc­Coy, Shane Fin­negan and Mick Dil­lon are the new se­lec­tors.
