COMMUNITY GAMES

Well done to all our fantastic Athletes, who competed in the Co Athletics Final in the Hub Enniscorth­y, last Sunday the 25th. Billy Byrne, who won Gold in the under-14 Cycling, Seán O’Brien, who won Silver in the under-10 200m, Ben Meyers, who won Silver in the under-14 800m, and the under-14 Relay team Louise Doyle, Anna O’Brien, Cora McGrath, Jessica Sutton and Caoimhe Cowman, who won Bronze. Congratula­tions and well done all.

Our under-14 Girl Footballer­s are now into the Leinster semi-final which will be held on July 1 in Carlow IT against Kilcullen, Kildare at 1.30 p.m. Our under-10 Football boys, who put up a very good fight against a strong Bagnaelsto­wn, Carlow team in their Leinster quarter final.

GAA NOTES

Academy – To coincide with our club’s Fit (ish) Family event we are running an Academy Fun Day on Saturday afternoon, July 1. This will be the centreof our Academy year and we are planning a great funfilled afternoon for all the boys and girls of our club. Looking forward to seeing you there. Best of luck to our Academy boys under-eights and under-10s who travel to Ballinteer St John’s in South Dublin for ‘warm-up’ matches before the Leinster hurling final on Sunday, July 2.

Fittish Family Fundraiser – The Moore-Johnston Fundraiser Burst into summer Kiddies Disco with DJ Shannon will be held in the Horse and Hound on Friday, June 30, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Admission is €5.

Féile Na Gael 2017 – Well done to both of our camogie and Hurling teams, Mentors, Trainers. All who supported the teams through-out the weekend, and made the visiting teams, Kilmacow, Co Kilkenny and Causeway, Co Kerry very welcome. There was great feedback also from Kiltigean, Co Wicklow and Four Crossroads, Co Roscommon that Rathgarogu­e-Cushinstow­n teams Hosted. With both teams proceeding to Saturdays games, and the camogie reaching the Semis-Finals and on to the Finals and coming away placed Runners-up all-Ireland. A long weekend but very enjoyable and some fantastic games played from the different County’s. Well done all.

PILGRIMAGE TO KNOCK

The parish pilgrimage to Knock (overnight) takes place 17th and July 18. The pick-up points will be Cushinstow­n, Terrerath, New Ross and by arrangemen­t. The seats must be booked in advanced and any details please ring Angela Power at 051 428505.

Wexford Football Academy will be running their annual soccer camp again this year at Shelburne United grounds, Ballywilli­am from Monday, August 7, to Friday, August 11. They will hold a registrati­on night in Shelburne pitch on Thursday, June 29, from 7.30 p.m. to 9 p.m. This is to try on your kit size so it will be available at the start of camp. RATHNURE MUSICAL

‘Torn Dreams the Musical: Revamped’ is returning to the Rathnure Stage this summer for a six night run. This was the very first original musical written in 2010. With over 30 Rock n’ Roll numbers in the show, you won’t want to miss 2017’s Hottest Torn Dreams. RALLY FOR LIFE
