Driver banned for one year

Mindaugus Dziugys (23) of 3 Willow Lane, Quay Road, Duncannon was disqualified from driving for a year on conviction for a motor insurance offence.

The Lithuanian national was pulled up by Garda Edward Widger at Arthurstown on November 15 last.

The disqualification was imposed though solicitor Colette Culleton had pleaded that her client need his licence in order to seek work.

Judge John Cheatle added no fine to Dziugys’s ban.
