Deadline for awards fast approaching
THE deadline for applicants for the New Ross and District Business and Community Awards is one month away and local businesses and organisations are encouraged to not leave it until the last minute to apply.
Now in their ninth year, the awards are firmly established, and attracted more than 75 entries in 2016. They provide business and community groups in the town and district an opportunity to share their inspiring stories and showcase achievements.
Entry is free.
Ann O’Connor of Secret Valley Wildlife Park and Winner of ‘Business of the Year 2016’ told of the positive impact the award had made on her business. Ann said: ‘We could now market ourselves as the award-winning Secret Valley Wildlife Park and because of this we have since captured new markets including corporate evenings and hen parties.’
