St Joseph’s Athletic Club’s annual Richie Young 5k Walk/Run will take place on Sunday, September 17, at the Pink Rock. Register from 11.30 a.m. in the field at the Pink Rock. The walk/run starts at 12 noon and participants can guess your predicited time to complete your run walk. The person nearest their predicted time wins.
No watches or phones are allowed. Donations on the day will be divided between the Irish Cancer Society and the club. There will be a lovely family atmosphere and parents are advised to bring their buggy and children.
Presentations of the winners will take place in the Parish Pump afterwards where refreshments will be served. U-12, born 2006 Tue 6-7pm, U-13, born 2005 Tue 5-6pm and U-14, born 2004 Tue 5-6pm.
Academy for all kids aged from 4-years-old to 8-years-old every Saturday morning from 12 to 1 p.m.
New members are more than welcome to come along to any of the training sessions. Children must register first before they can train or play with the club. New members must bring a copy of their birth certificate. All kids must wear runners and shinguards on the Astro Courts.
