A be­gin­ner’s jour­ney into the psy­chol­ogy of mind and be­hav­iour with Mary Bol­ger, Car­low IT.

takes place to­day, Tues­day, August 29 at 7 p.m. at New Ross Li­brary.

En­ti­tled ‘In­side the Look­ing Glass: Who am I and how is my re­al­ity shaped?’, this lay per­son’s in­tro­duc­tion to psy­chol­ogy will pro­vide a brief history of the de­vel­op­ment of psy­cho­log­i­cal thought and en­quiry, ex­am­in­ing Psy­chol­ogy as we know it to­day and how our be­hav­iours can be ex­plored from a psy­cho­log­i­cal per­spec­tive.

The talk will look at some ev­ery­day re­search ex­am­ples - sit­u­a­tions that most peo­ple will be able to re­late to and should pro­vide for some in­ter­est­ing dis­cus­sion.

This talk is suit­able for any­one with a gen­eral in­ter­est in the study of psy­chol­ogy and its ap­pli­ca­tion in ev­ery­day life.
