Andrew Whelan crowned Hooked on Talent winner
FETHARD- ON-SEA came out in force for a night of talent and great entertainment at St Mary’s Hall on the August Bank Holiday weekend.
The Hooked on Talent competition saw 13 local acts take to the stage, raising money for the hall.
MC Pat Kent welcomed the full house of 200 plus people.
He said: ‘It was a great night: a total mix of X Factor, Britain’s Got Talent and The Voice. There was everything from singing to musicians playing, to dog acts and hoola hoops. People were surprised by how good it was and the variety of the acts.’
Fethard man Andrew Whelan won the competition, followed by Aoife Goodison in second place and hoola hooper extraordinaire Moly O’Leary. Money raised is going towards the upkeep of the hall.’
There was huge interest in the raffle, with 26 prizes given away on the night, riasing further money for the hall.
