An­drew Whe­lan crowned Hooked on Tal­ent win­ner

FETHARD- ON-SEA came out in force for a night of tal­ent and great en­ter­tain­ment at St Mary’s Hall on the Au­gust Bank Hol­i­day week­end.

The Hooked on Tal­ent com­pe­ti­tion saw 13 lo­cal acts take to the stage, rais­ing money for the hall.

MC Pat Kent wel­comed the full house of 200 plus peo­ple.

He said: ‘It was a great night: a to­tal mix of X Fac­tor, Bri­tain’s Got Tal­ent and The Voice. There was ev­ery­thing from singing to mu­si­cians play­ing, to dog acts and hoola hoops. Peo­ple were sur­prised by how good it was and the va­ri­ety of the acts.’

Fethard man An­drew Whe­lan won the com­pe­ti­tion, fol­lowed by Aoife Good­i­son in sec­ond place and hoola hooper ex­traor­di­naire Moly O’Leary. Money raised is go­ing to­wards the up­keep of the hall.’

There was huge in­ter­est in the raf­fle, with 26 prizes given away on the night, ri­as­ing fur­ther money for the hall.
