Neighbours for JBH final
NEAR NEIGHBOURS Adamstown and Taghmon-Camross will contest the Permanent TSB New Ross District Junior ‘B’ hurling championship decider following two competitive semi-finals in Clongeen on Sunday.
A slow start by Rathgarogue-Cushinstown in the first game handed the initiative to Taghmon-Camross who withheld the pressure in the closing stages of the match to emerge with a twogoal advantage at the final whistle. The final score read 2-9 to 0-9. The second game saw Adamstown take on Gusserane.
A goal straight from the throwin gave the Adamstown crew a dream start and indeed, it was this score that proved crucial in the end.
Gusserane fought back and the game was nip and tuck throughout, but the men in black and amber held on to win on a scoreline of 2-14 to 1-15.
