NOTES DEADLINE

Please note that from now on these notes need to be submitted to the paper by Friday morning each week for the following week’s edition. As a result of this, this correspond­ent will need to have contributi­ons received before 8 p.m. each Thursday evening.

IRISH DANCING

Irish Dancing classes resumed last week after the summer break. On Fridays in Terrerath beginners are at 6.30 p.m. And advanced dancers are at 7.30 p.m. On Tuesdays in Raheen Community Centre beginners are from 6 p.m. and advanced from 7 p.m. Tuition is given by Kay and Aileen Sutherland, both fully qualified teachers with Cumann Rince Naisiunta. ST KEARNS DOCUMENTAR­Y

The official launch date for the St Kearns Explosion documentar­y is September 23 in St Michael’s Theatre in New Ross at 8 p.m. A limited number of tickets will go on sale this week. For more informatio­n and for tickets please contact Michael Whelan at 087 2388156.

CARDS

Winners in the hall last week were Johnny Flynn, Peter Stafford and John Reville. Second went to Declan Egan, Marie Doyle and Noel Redmond. Third went to Alice Gaffney, Margaret O’Neill and Johnny Colfer while fifth went to David Murphy, James McDonald and Pat Whelan. The last game draw went to Pat Murray, Jimmy Lacey and Mick Culleton.

Raffle winners were Willie Kehoe, Tom Corcoran, Johnny Colfer and Johnny Larkin.

TEA DANCE

Gusserane parish council will hold a Tea Dance on Sunday, October 1, in Gusserane Hall where the music will be provided by the popular T Bone Country. Admission is only five euro and tickets will be on sale shortly. All proceeds will go towards parish funds. Your support would be most welcome. Dancing from 9.30 p.m. to midnight.

SILVER CIRCLE

Winners in last week’s GAA Silver Circle draw were Marta Biel, Nicky Cahill Jnr, Shane Doyle and Nellie Finn.

LOTTO

There was no jackpot winner last week when the numbers drawn were 5, 18, 22 and 23. There was no match-three winner either. This week’s jackpot stands at €4,550 while the match three pot stands at €400.
