We have vacancies in the following areas on our forthcoming Community Employment Scheme at South West Wexford Family Resource Centre: Childcare workers, Front Desk Receptionists, Administrators, General Cleaner, Caretaker/Maintenance, Cleaner to support the Sugradh Childcare Centre, Community Café, Youth

EDUCATION AT SWWFRC

New evening courses starting in October 2017.

Early Childhood Care and Education Level 6: Early Childhood Curriculum. Starting Monday, October 2, 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. for 10 weeks. Cost €325.

Early Childhood Care and Education Level 5: Child Health and Well Being. Starting Tuesday, October 3, 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. for 10 weeks. Cost €285.

Health Care Support Level 5: Palliative Care Support. Starting Tuesday, October 3, 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. for 10 weeks. Cost €285.

Applied Social Studies/Community Health Services Level 5: Intercultural Studies. Starting Wednesday, October 4, 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. for 10 weeks. Cost €285.

Business Administration/ eBusiness Level 5: Payroll Manual and Computerised. Starting Thursday, October 5, 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. for 10 weeks. Cost €285.

Training and Development, Special purpose award, Level 6 (2 modules): Training Needs, Identification and Design. Training Delivery and Evaluation. Starting Saturday, October 7, 9.30 a.m. 2 p.m. for eight Saturdays. Cost €550.

Courses will run subject to minimum numbers confirmed. Recipients of social welfare may be entitled to funding towards courses. Easy payment plans can be availed of for all courses. Phone Jan/Diane at 051 389418 for further details or to book a place on any of the above courses.

YOGA

Yoga classes are running every Monday evening from 7.30 p.m. to 8.30 p.m. at South West Wexford Family Resource Centre. Classes are €10 drop in or six class cards for €50. Contact Finola at 087 3641540 for more information.

ACTIVE RETIREMENT

Next monthly meeting – Monday, October 2, in St Louis Day Care Centre starting at 2.15 p.m. Come along for a chat with new and old friends over a cup of tea and a bun. New members welcome.

Sláinte – The Show: Wednesday, September 13 – €15 for show and coach. Waterford is not only the oldest City but the Quayside has witnessed, first-hand, some of the defining events which have defined Irish History – The Reg, Waterford, with local Historian; Dermot Power and Musical Director; Colin Harries have developed a unique musical, historical and entertaining journey through many of these events. Carpet Bowls – Every Thursday 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. in Campile Village Hall – Members free, Non-Members €2 – all welcome, new members needed.

Ten Pin Bowling – Every Tuesday morning, in Leisure Max, Drinagh, Wexford, 11.30 p.m. to 1 p.m. €7. Lunch available €7.

BLUEBELL CAFÉ

The Bluebell Café is open at St Louis Day Care Centre, Ramsgrange on the first Wednesday of every month, to older people, their families and carers who are coping with memory loss issues.

We welcome you to come in, enjoy a cup of tea, chat and meet with others in similar situations. We offer you an opportunity to obtain information and to speak with health care professionals in your area.

CAMPILE HALL

There is a weekly game of bingo being held in Campile Hall every Monday night at 8.30 p.m. in aid of the ongoing development of the hall, with prize money of €1,250 approximately being paid out each night with a rolling in house lotto and Snowball also being played each night.

We welcome each and every one senior citizens, young and children alike to try it and enjoy a great night out and wi.n some money intothe bargain.
