Drama for New Ross and Campile

The New Ross Drama Workshop will be presenting an evening of one act plays on Wednesday, November 1st in Campile Parish Hall and on Thursday November 2nd in St. Michael’s Theatre, New Ross, at 8 p.m. on both evenings.

For this production the group have chosen ‘Losers’ by Brian Friel, which is directed by Tom Doyle and ‘ The Tinkers Wedding’ by John Millington Synge, directed by Peggy Hussey.

A fantastic evening of theatre is guaranteed. Many of the wellknown faces from the group are involved in this production including Martina Kavanagh, Kitty Warren, Seona O’ Connor, Margaret Dunne, Anne Kelly, Peter O’ Connor, Edward Hayden and the group are delighted to welcome newcomer Peter Madden to the fold.

Back stage will be managed by Margaret Rossiter, Paul Walsh, Brid Walsh, Kate O’ Keeffe and many of the New Ross Drama Workshop members and friends will be assisting Front of house.

Peggy Hussey’s production of ‘The Tinkers Wedding’ is currently on the one act festival circuit and is Group chairperson Edward Hayden said: ‘This year we have two very different productions but I’m assured that our audiences will be well impressed with both shows.’
