Hazardous waste free drop off

PEOPLE can avail of a free hazardous waste drop off in New Ross this Saturday.

The drop-off is at New Ross Household Recycling Centre in Hewittsland from 8.30 a.m. until noon and from 1 p.m. till 3 p.m. A €2 charge applies for dropping off recyclable goods and recoverable waste.

People can dispose of the following: adhesives, aerosols, anti-freeze, batteries: car household and fence, herbicides, household detergents, old medicines, mixed fuels (engine and cooking oil), oil filters, paints (maximum 60 litres), pesticides and varnishes.
