WALKING TRACK

The new walking track at the sports ground at the Tintern Complex is now available to use and lighting has been installed to facilitate users in these dark evenings. The facility is there for the entire parish to use. You can run, walk or just stroll around and have a chat with friends. The track is available all day and it is lit up till 8.30 p.m. each week night. Get active now and make room for Christmas.

There will be a giant Christmas Market in Ramsgrange Community School Sunday, November 26, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be jewellery, knitted goods, plants, wreaths, candles, beauty products, wood craft, baked good, Christmas gift ideas and fancy goods, photograph­y, art and crafts.

Under-21 success - Well done to the Gusserane under-21 footballer­s on their first round win over Forth and Bargy Gaels in the premier championsh­ip recently. They now have to wait a number of weeks however before their quarter final fixture.

CAMPILE BINGO

There is a weekly game of bingo being held in Campile Hall every Monday night at 8.30 p.m. in aid of the ongoing developmen­t of the hall, with prize money of €1,250 approximat­ely being paid out each night with a rolling in house lotto and Snowball also being played each night. Coiste na nÓg AGM – The AGM of St James GAA Coiste na nÓg will take place on Friday, November 24, at 8 p.m. in Mersheen. The club will be looking for a new chairperso­n, secretary and treasurer on the night.

Families can enjoy a great day, with face-painting for the children and after much browsing and shopping, visitors to the school can relax and enjoy a well-earned tea or coffee or Hot Chocolate in the student run Café. Santa will also pay a visit on the day and enjoy some time with the children in his specially commission­ed Santa’s Grotto.
