Three months to pay speeding fine
ERIC GRIFFIN (46) of Boderan Ramsgrange was allowed three months to pay an €80 speeding fine.
The defendant confirmed to the District Court that he was the driver of an O’Leary International company van which broke the speed limit at Portersland on June 14 last.
There was some confusion at the hearing in the District Court over the serving of the summons in the case.
Griffin believed that it had gone straight to his employers at Marshmeadows though it was addressed to his home.
However, there was no avoiding the conviction which was imposed by Judge John Cheatle.
