For­mer DoneDeal CEO lands top post at Sonru

SONRU, the Wex­ford-based global leader and pi­o­neer of asyn­chro­nous video in­ter­view­ing, an­nounced that it has ap­pointed for­mer CEO of DoneDeal John War­bur­ton as its Chief Op­er­at­ing Of­fi­cer.

John had over­seen DoneDeal’s growth and suc­cess­ful ac­qui­si­tion by Schib­sted, the Oslo-listed in­ter­na­tional group and later its merger with Dis­tilled Me­dia Group busi­nesses, the prop­erty por­tal Daft.ie and the on­line mar­ket­place Ad­verts.ie.

He will con­tinue to work along­side Ed­ward Hen­drick, Sonru’s founder and CEO, but will now take on over­all re­spon­si­bil­ity for the op­er­a­tional man­age­ment of the busi­ness. Founded in 2007, Sonru is head­quar­tered in Wex­ford with re­gional of­fices in Europe, Asia Pa­cific, Mid­dle East and North Amer­ica and peo­ple on the ground in Aus­tralia, UK, France and South Africa. Can­di­dates from over 180 coun­tries have com­pleted an in­ter­view on the Sonru sys­tem for clients in more than 40 coun­tries world­wide. Ed­ward Hen­drick said John will play a piv­otal role in man­ag­ing Sonru’s con­tin­ued growth and global ex­pan­sion. John has al­most 30 years of ex­pe­ri­ence in in­for­ma­tion technology, busi­ness pro­cesses and project man­age­ment hav­ing held se­nior po­si­tions in some of the largest com­pa­nies in the world in­clud­ing 10 years in the USA work­ing with Lit­ton PRC, a lead­ing provider of sci­en­tific, en­gi­neer­ing, and in­for­ma­tion technology-based so­lu­tions.
