Cushinstown ladies excel at special occasions
A GROUP of ladies from Cushinstown emerged victorious from a competition organised by Wexford ICA in Kilanerin Hall.
The group, composed of Sarah Buckley, Rita O’Brien, Philo Whelan, Mary Devereux and Catherine Lacey were the overall winners in the ‘Special Occasions’ event which attracted top quality entries from all over the county.
Representatives of 20 ICA guilds entered the competition. There were a number of reasons to celebrate for the Cushinstown ladies as Catherine Lacey also won first prize for her flower arrangement while Mary Devereux did likewise for her report on ‘ the opening of the tea room’.
