Mechanic’s car insurance lapsed

A MECHANIC who allowed his insurance to lapse paid the price at Wexford District Court.

Latvian licence holder Gintautas Daugilis (29) of 42 Belleview Heights, New Ross missed a payment while on holidays.

The result was that the father of two young children had no cover when stopped by Garda Michelle Power at Raheen last September.

A fine of €300 was handed down.
