KIDS GET A TASTE FOR PAGEANT LIFE
CHILDREN FROM around Wexford got the chance to embrace their inner princess when they took part in a Princess Charity Pageant which was organised by Louise Phillpot, who was recently crowned Ms Wexford. The 30-year-old model from New Ross, held the event as a fundraiser for the Ectopic Pregnancy Trust. A total of €485 was raised on the day.
The event was held in St Mary’s Hall, New Ross and 25 kids participated. Every child received a crown and certificate and there were winners in the Under 1, Age 2 to 5, and age 6 to 10 category, as well as awards for Best Dressed, Best Smile, Best Walk and Director’s Choice Princess.
The winners received a large crown, a princess sash, a professional photo shoot and a mini make-over.
In the Under 1 category, Shakira O’Gorman from Clongeen was the winner. In the age 2 to 5 group, Lexi Kehoe from Ferns took the top prize while in the 6 to 10 age-group, Ellie O’Rourke from Enniscorthy was honoured. Maci Waters from Wellingtonbridge won the Director’s Choice Princess award; Amia Ronan from Ferns was named Miss Charity; and Lisa Marie O’Hanlon, from Rosbercon, was awarded Best Dressed.
Louise is a model with the Andrea Roche group and has been modelling for eight years, doing commercial work as well as film work.
