Plan to write to boundary group

Councillors plan to write to the Boundary Commission to complain about the way the county has been divided up in the latest boundary redraw. Councillors said the Boundary Commission ignored their recommendations and didn’t have the best interest of the county at heart. Cllr Malcolm Byrne expressed serious concern about how the new six area district will be administered.

CEO Tom Enright said councillors are free to pass a resolution on the matter, adding that it was a political decision that was taken.
