Rest In Peace: Deepest sympathy to the Clince family on the death of Mrs Margaret Clince, who was buried in Rathnure cemetery on Saturday. Margaret had celebrated her 100th birthday recently. Remember also the soul of Rita Hetheringt­on, née Redmond, Co. Down formerly of Tomanine, who died last week. May they Rest In Peace.

World Meeting Of Families: Tickets for the Papal Mass in the Phoenix Park will only be available online and groups will have the option of ordering in lots of fifty. Thanks to all who contribute­d to the WMOF2018 National Collection which was taken up in the church recently. €242 was raised.

Thank You: Many thanks to all who supported the Parish Night at Rathnure’s summer Musical recently. €910 was raised for parish funds.

BINGO

Bingo is played every Tuesday night at 8.30 p.m. in Rathnure hall. Rathnure Bingo is active on Facebook, search ‘Rathnure Bingo’ and like our page, thank you. The bingo jackpot on Tuesday the 17th is €4,400.

SOCIAL CLUB OUTING

The Social Club outing takes place on Thursday, July 26. Leaving Rathnure hall at 10 a.m. A short stop at Meadows and Byrne, dinner and afternoon tea in Kelly’s of Rosslare. Names to Ann Marie or Ann Barron: 087 9020071 as soon as possible. Friends welcome. The cost is approx. €20.

GAA CLUB NEWS

Hopefully by the time of you are reading this Wexford will have won their all-Ireland hurling quarter-final. They played Clare in Páirc Uí Chaoimh at 3 p.m. on Saturday. If they won we have an all-Ireland semi-final to look forward to however if they lost there’s a possibilit­y that the club championsh­ips will resume next weekend. See the Sport Section for details.

Club lotto – The numbers last Tuesday July 10, were 10, 12, 17 and 32. There was no jackpot winner. There were two matchthree winners who each won €100. The jackpot this Tuesday the 17th is €3,600.

ROBOT SUMMER CAMP

Would your child be interested in a summer camp for building their own robot? Build your own small robot and program through its online coding language – Ozoblockly. You will also program this machine by using colour codes on tracks drawn on paper.
