Piano Festival strikes right note with new logo
NEW ROSS PIANO FESTIVAL has a fresh, new look, with a bright new logo featuring the quays and town of New Ross, with a musical twist.
Designed by UK based Marshall Light Studio, the piano festival logo and brochure is colourful and eye-catching.
Sophie Light of Marshall Light Studios said: ‘With the re-brand for the New Ross Piano Festival we needed to highlight the festival’s collaborative approach, celebrate the piano and engage both local and international audiences. Our initial reaction to visiting New Ross was its beautiful setting, with the riverside location, layered rows of pastel coloured houses rolling up the hill towards St Mary’s Church, and the historical arched bridge. We designed a new logo that encapsulated the vibrancy and character of New Ross by illustrating these elements and shaping them within a grand piano icon.’
For the wider brand design, Ms Light said the company applied a hand-cut paper illustration style that is friendly and welcoming, with a colour palette inspired by the New Ross skyline.
‘ The illustrations playfully overlap elements of the piano with the townscape, to create a memorable and unique brand identity that is intrinsically linked to what is at the heart of the festival – the town of New Ross and the piano.’
